New Construction in Wilton Manors
Pre-Construction & New Development Townhomes and Condos
Wilton Manors is 1.94 square miles ringed by the forks of the Middle River — which is why locals call it the Island City. It is also effectively built out. New construction here is not a skyline story; it is infill, on land that already had something on it.
That makes it a different market from downtown Fort Lauderdale. There is very little new product in Wilton Manors, it arrives in small batches, and it tends to be spoken for early. Below is what you can buy today, what has been approved, and what is still only a proposal.

Two projects account for nearly all of it. Ask me about either — pricing and availability move faster than any web page.
Why There Is So Little New Construction Here
Wilton Manors counted about 7,000 housing units at the 2020 census, in under two square miles, with almost no vacant land left. Anything new has to replace something existing — which means it goes through a city commission in a small town where the neighbors show up.
The Shoppes site is the clearest example. An earlier plan for 252 rental apartments in a seven-story building was rescinded after opposition. What the commission unanimously approved in August 2026 is smaller, lower, and for sale rather than for rent.
The practical effect for a buyer: new construction in Wilton Manors is rare and small-batch, and it prices accordingly. This is not a market where you wait for the next tower to be announced.
Buying New Construction? Don't Walk Into the Sales Gallery Alone.
The friendly team at the sales gallery works for the developer. Their job is to sell you the developer's inventory, at the developer's price, on the developer's contract. That contract is written by the developer's attorneys — and unlike a resale, most of the standard buyer protections aren't in it unless someone negotiates for them.
As your agent, I work only for you. That means honest guidance on which buildings and floor plans hold value, what the deposit schedule and delivery risks really look like, how the building's financials are structured, and where there's room to negotiate — because even in new construction, there usually is.
One catch you should know: most developers require your agent to be registered with you on your first visit. Walk in alone first, and you may lose the right to have your own representation on that building. Talk to me before you tour.
